X Trench Run blends endless dodging with light shooting as you guide a small starfighter through a heavily defended trench. Walls jut out from the sides and floor while turrets line the route, forcing you to constantly choose between weaving around obstacles and blasting them out of your way.

Use horizontal movement to slip between walls and pillars as the trench scrolls toward you, and fire your weapons to destroy turrets or obstacles blocking narrow openings. Occasionally you face larger defense platforms or bosses that demand more sustained fire while you continue dodging. Colliding with structures or taking too many hits will end your run.

1. Replay a confusing cycle after watching one fail with no input.
2. Click inside X Trench Run before using the keyboard so input does not scroll the page.
3. Survive the first clear before chasing optional collectibles.
4. Name the reason for every death—early jump, late slide, wrong lane, or bad landing.
5. Look two obstacles ahead while finishing the current move.
6. Keep inputs deliberate; panic mashing creates new mistakes.
7. Stop after two clean segments—tired hands fail first.
8. Use fullscreen on small screens only after the embed has focus.
9. Prioritise survival over aggression; it is often safer to dodge a turret's shots than to linger in front of it while trying to destroy it. Keep your ship roughly centred when no hazards are present so you can quickly move to either side when walls appear. During boss sequences, learn the repeating attack patterns and position your ship in advance where the fewest projectiles will pass.
10. During normal trench segments, fire only when it does not compromise your ability to dodge; it is better to let a turret live than to clip a wall while lining up a shot. For bosses, identify the pattern’s ‘safe lane’—the horizontal zone where the fewest projectiles cross—and hover there, moving only as needed to avoid big blasts. Over time, you can start pre‑emptively destroying wall segments that would otherwise create deadly funnels later in the pattern.

Difficulty usually rises as jumps, slides, lane changes, or other verbs appear in tighter combinations—not only because a single obstacle looks larger.

A practical approach: clear once without optional pickups, then replay for cleaner movement or collectibles.
